Overview
Successful completion of this course will develop and reinforce competence in risk management and risk assessment methodologies with a specific focus on security related risk. Through a combination of intense classroom delivery and field training, students will be presented with subject matter that includes asset identification, threat assessment, monitoring security operations and advising on security needs. Its is widely accepted that Diploma qualifications are directed toward managerial personnel.

Delivery
To achieve this qualification the candidate must have demonstrated competency against all (8) eight core units and (4) four elective units.
The course is presented in line with adult learning principles incorporating structured tutorials, interactive workshops, case studies, video, practical assignments and workplace application. Individual and group work is conducted throughout the course.

Duration
The qualification is completed by attending full-time for 6 weeks at which the submission of a practical research assignment is expected. On average a research assignment will take aproximatel 6 months to complete, or may be completed by flexible learning options, i.e. correspondence. In both cases, practical assignments will apply and completion is subject to an individual student’s progress however an approximate time frame of twelve months is given for this qualification.
Presenters
Course presenters are all recognised industry experts holding relevant experience and training qualifications. They include security industry specialists, former and currently serving police officers, lawyers, OH&S practitioners and organisational development consultants.
Prerequisites
All participants must have completed Certificate IV in Security and Risk Management PRS40103 or have applied for RPL for previous qualifications completed. Students must possess reasonable literacy and numeracy skills with a sound grasp of spoken English. Law Enforcement Training Solutions provides support for language and literacy for participants who require it.
Cost
Course cost is $2900.00. Payment in full prior to the commencement of the course is preferred. However you may secure your booking by forwarding a minimum of $500 deposit. Please contact Administration Office Staff if you require assistance with a payment plan.
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)
Law Enforcement Training Solutions recognises the Recognition of Prior Learning (or Skills Recognition) process, which formally recognises the skills and knowledge an individual has acquired through formal or informal training through, work or life-experience.
The cost of the RPL process is $1,500 or $130 per unit.
Lunch
Unless stipulated in writing, lunch is the responsibility of each person attending a training course. It is suggested that you bring with you a sufficient light meal and refreshments for each day's attendance.
Dress
It is expected that you will attend all classes dressed in a neat and casual manner. For the comfort of all those around you please ensure you have given appropriate consideration to your personal hygiene and grooming, good personal hygiene and grooming represents good personal discipline. Ensure you are wearing closed footwear as no open toed footwear will be permitted.
Smoking Policy
Smoking is not permitted indoors, but is allowed outdoors in designated areas. The receptionist or training coordinator at your training facility will direct you.
